Resetting an Investor's Password through the CRM
Overview
In IMS, you have the ability to reset an investor's password through the CRM tab. You are able to send a password reset email to investors with the status of Accepted or Active in the CRM. There are two ways to accomplish this:
Method 1: Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Select the CRM tab from the top navigation bar. Select Contacts, and search for the contact you need to send a password reset email to:
2. Select the dropdown arrow next to the investor's name and select Reset Password to send the password reset email:
3. Select Yes on the pop-up message to confirm:
Method 2: Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Select the CRM tab from the top navigation bar. Select Contacts, and search for the contact you need to send a password reset email to:
2. Select the investor's name (blue hyperlink) to navigate into their profile:
3. Select the 3-dot menu on the upper right of the profile. Select Reset Password to send the password reset email.
4. Select Yes on the pop-up message to confirm:
You should see the following confirmation message at the top right of your screen (Methods 1 and 2) after selecting Yes:
* Please note that if you do not see the option to reset the password, they may be waiting for an invitation to the Investor Portal. If this is the case, you would then see 'Invite to Investor Portal' in place of 'Reset Password,' or they may not be set up as an individual profile (only used for login purposes on the Investor Portal).
