Cap Table Overview

Summary

The Cap Table is a place where you can view and manage investments that are made by investors. Here you can see all information about the investments within a specific project such as preferred return rate, investor status, invested amount, and much more. This is also where deleting, transferring, moving, or editing investments takes place.

Project Summary Page

This is the "Project Summary" page. Upon navigating into your projects, this will be your starting point each time. Here, you can find all of your entities that are attached to the current project. This will show you the invested amount of entities (if applicable), as well as the ownership percentages. From here, selecting an entity will bring you to the next page. This will allow you to add, remove, or edit classes within each entity.

In this example, there are two classes - the LP class, and the GP class. To access the options for these classes, click on the drop-down arrow to the left of the class you are looking to edit. From here, you can take action towards editing the class and choose from the following options: Add Investment, Download Cash Flow Schedule, Edit Classes (edit, add or remove), Export Investor Portal Metrics, Transfer Investment, and View Class Documents. You may also select Close Class, which will remove the offering from the Investor Portal, restricting any new investments from being made.

Class Details Page

This is the Class Details page. Here is where all investments within the entity will be held. You will find most of your information here about each individual investment, including being able to adjust which metrics are shown in the columns to the right of the class.

In this example, you are able to see the invested amount, the percentage of class, and the ownership percentage, as well as the investor's status and accreditation method. As you add more details to each investment, the metric titles will populate in these columns.

If you are looking for information that isn't displayed, try using the small "Settings Cog" icon, in the top right side of the Cap Table, right of the search bar.

As you can see here, there are some unchecked boxes, meaning that they will not display in the Cap Table. However, you can add and remove any metrics that you would like to see here.

Making Adjustments to Investments

Clicking on the drop-down arrow to the left of an investment will display a list of items you can use to make adjustments to the investments in the Cap Table. You have the ability to email investors, void signing documents (once sent), send an Invite to Invest in the project (if they have not already been invited and/or accepted), download cash flow and preferred return schedules, edit investment details, view all contributions (even if there are more than one), accreditate investors, transfer/move investments, or delete them.

If you select the "Edit Investment" option from the drop-down arrow, this menu allows you to adjust many different things with regard to the investment itself. Examples include the investment amount, ownership percentage, investment status, date the investment was placed, as well as the preferred distribution method. Once you have made any changes to the investment that you would like to make, make sure to select the blue "Save" button at the bottom right.

Note: Certain changes may be restricted depending on how the class is set up. For example, if your target amount for a specific class has already been reached, you may need to increase the target amount of the class or allow it to be over-subscribed to increase an investment amount.
