Building a Multi-Tiered Project

To create a multi-tiered project by adding an internal entity, a TIC or a passthrough entity to your project's organization chart, you'll first need to make sure the Entity exists within your account under Projects > Entities.  If it does not, you can add it by following Steps 1-2 from our How to Add an Entity article.

Before adding the Entity you've created to your project, you'll need to have at least one class built out within your project.  If you do not have a class in which to add the Entity, you can do so by following Steps 1-3 from our Add and Edit Classes article.

After both the Entity and the class in which the Entity will be a member have been created, you can navigate to the org chart view and choose Add Investment.

Within the Add/Edit Investment screen, you'll want to be sure to choose Internal Entity from the Investor Type dropdown menu.  Then, you'll be able to search for the Entity's name within the Investor Name field.  You'll also need to complete the remaining required fields (marked with red asterisks) before selecting Save.

After adding this investment, you will see the new Entity within your org chart, and you'll be able to add additional classes and investments as necessary.
