Upload Project, Entity, or Class-Level Documents
There are two ways team members can add documents to all investors associated with a project, either directly in the project or under the documents feature.
Method 1:
You can upload a project, entity, or class-level document directly from your project. Select the project you would like to add a document to, and then select the Documents tab within the project. It's important to note where you are in the project as far as who has visibility on the uploaded document(s). If the entity drop-down says 'Project Summary,' then you will be uploading a document for every investor in the entire Project. If you click into an entity, then you will only be uploading a document to all members who are invested in the entity. If you click into a class, then you will only be uploading a document to all members who are invested in the class. The Upload Documents button will show once on the Documents tab - from there, you can upload single or multiple sets of documents.
Method 2:
Additionally, you can upload documents from the Documents drop-down menu. Click on Documents > Personal & Project Documents on the navigational menu at the top of the screen. This view will show you system-generated document folders. The IMS System Documents section contains a folder called Projects, which will house all associated investor folders and documents. The account-level documents (listed under your company name) will house all internal company documents (such as Waterfall-Audit files, broker, and property management information). The My Documents – [Name] folder is a location where you can store personal documents or can also be used to share files with your Customer Success Manager or other Team Members. Please note that you do not need to click into a documents folder to upload personal documents - simply select Upload Document from the Documents page to get started.
Class-Level Document Upload Example:
Click on the Projects Folder and navigate to the desired Project folder. The Documents section is structured like the project org chart in terms of the level at which you are located. Click the entity name to go one level further, and again by clicking on the equity class name until you are viewing the desired class with the list of all investors within that class. Click Upload Document.
Drag and drop the desired document(s) or browse. Choose where you would like this file to be displayed on the Investor Dashboard. If you choose Investor Dashboard, this will be published on the Documents tab on the Investor Portal. Select Upload once you have selected the desired Document Type, Publish Date (optional - current date if left blank), or Investor Notification (optional).
You will see your newly added document(s) added to the list.

Investor Portal View
These documents will appear in the Documents tab for any investor associated with the class. Here, investors can filter, view, or download their documents if needed. Please note the status of newly uploaded documents will be labeled as 'Unread' until the document has been downloaded.
