IMS Email Tracking
The IMS Platform CRM system now can track email correspondence with your investors and any other contact in the CRM. Tracking emails gives you full visibility into communications with your contacts. The email tracking feature enables you to determine which emails are tracked so you can exclude sensitive or personal emails. The email tracking feature works across all email servers and email client programs both on your computer and on the web.
Email tracking feature uses an email feature called BCC.
Use the steps below as a guide to setup the IMS Email integration.
Step 1: Click on the Cog icon at the top right.
Step 2: Click Email Integration.
Step 3: Your unique BCC email address will be displayed in the light blue box (shown with an arrow in screenshot below).
By default, the Preferences section displayed below will be toggled on. This will enable all mailto hyperlinks within the IMS app to automatically launch your native email client (Outlook/Gmail) with the BCC email address pre-populated.
The mailto links are in the following locations in IMS:

When you click one of the mailto links, you will see a new email and the BCC email is pre-populated.
*Email Integration supports handling total email size including attachments of less than 15MB.
To add your unique BCC as a contact to Outlook, please follow the directions below:
Step 1: Click the People icon at the bottom left of your email.
Step 2: Click New Contact at the top left.
*TIP: To create a contact from anywhere in Outlook, press Ctrl+Shift+C.
Step 3: Complete the necessary information and add your unique BCC email in the email field. Click Save & Close at the top left.
When sending an email, add a BCC line with the following steps:
Step 1: Open a new email. Click the Options tab. Click Bcc.
Step 2: A BCC field will appear. Type the name given to the contact.
To add your unique BCC as a contact to Gmail, please follow the directions below:
Step 1: Click the Gmail dropdown at the top left. Click Contacts.
Step 2: Click ADD A CONTACT or the plus button in the bottom right.
Step 3: Complete the required fields and add your unique BCC email in the email section. Click Save.
When sending an email, add a BCC option with the following steps:
Step 1: Open a new email, click the Bcc button the top right.
Step 2: Add the name that you saved the BCC contact as.
Add your unique BCC email as a contact, click Done:
Open your email app, click on a new email, click Cc/Bcc:
Type the name of the newly added contact in the BCC field:
Add your unique BCC email as a contact, click Save:
Open your email app, open a new email, click the arrow in the “To” field:
